Workaholic ...

Hoooo!!! Life throws us out of gear at will and we just could not do anything other than accepting to dance to its tunes. I was happily blogging a fortnight back and all of a sudden a big challenging task came on my way and I grabbed it with two hands as it was a very interesting technical work which would add value to my "Architect" tag, but after accepting that, I realized that I volunteered to have a big snake around my neck and the strength of the snake grew bigger and bigger as I was fully sucked into that job. I always had an intuition that I can tame that snake and kill him and that is what I did 3 days back and felt very relieved and happy about the task I did, really felt refreshing that I did something great. I was busy reading those appreciation emails and replying back to them saying "it-is-just-a-team-work" you know types and at last found some time to blog... So that being said, my next assignment is in the US where I will be leaving on the 4th of Sept...

H1 N1 - A Funny Review ...

Image
Well ... Well ... Well the entire globe is now shivering with fear and people fear to even breadth, the new one of its kind virus is called the H1 N1 virus or otherwise known as "Swine Flu", what started as a pandemic in countries like Indonesia and Thailand and as usually India did not bother much about it until it was affected seriously. Now it’s time to take some reactive measures and try to protect ourselves from that deadly virus. I am sure by now you folks would have got 100s of emails which would have given you 1000 different ways to protect you from that virus and hence I am not going to bore you all with that same thing. We are now going to see the funnier side of H1 N1 and what tamasha it has brought into our country. As a word of caution, I would like to say that the incidents mentioned here are fictional and if it happens to match a real life character, it is mere coincidence... It all started with a campaign stating that we should protect our hands and keep it cl...

It was a very relaxing evening for Vinay and he was laying around in his PG after working hard for a week at work, he knew there is nothing much he can do to keep himself busy and occupied other than watching TV or reading few books, that's when he got to remember his good old friend Sarah and he chose to dial to her number. Sarah his is old girl friend with whom he broke up couple of years back but they were still friends. Vinay proposed to Sarah on a no-moon day and she straight away rejected him saying that she is already committed, but fate played a twist in her tale as well and she broke up with her boy friend a month ago. Vinay dialed her number and then asked her if she is available for dinner that night, Sarah said she is holding another call and hence she will call him back, after Vinay waiting for 10 minutes Sarah called him back and said, "Oh yeah, we can go out for dinner" and asked him what is the reason for treating her this time ... Vinay smiled and said, ...

Statue for Peace ?

I would just term this latest stunt by two chief ministers of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu by opening the statue's of two notable poets of their respective states, nothing but a political gimmick. These two states were always been fighting against each other on the Cauvery water issue and opening of these statue's are not going to bridge any gap and I am sure the gap can never be filled. The people of both the states are always living at peace, there have been kannadigas living in Tamil nadu for ages and vice versa, these political buffoons created a rift and just to have their vote bank intact they divide the people of these two states and as usually the people who fall for their talks are the illiterates... I am not a biased person, so please don’t read this post as one-sided, just because I support Tamil Nadu here. Let's recollect few facts which happened in this bloody state (Karnataka) after me moving into this city in 2005. This state would always love to torture and give...

A story which shook me ...

I have to share this with all my readers today because not everyone would have watched what I watched today. I am talking about a program which I saw in Vijay TV by name "Nadandhadhu Enna", they actually show stories which were real and still existing in this society. This program shook me so badly and I thanked god for giving me such a life which is a dream to that family. I should admit that I was moved so badly that I could hardly control my tears, though I claim myself as an emotionally stable grown-up, but I also know that my heart is not made of stone. The story is about a family which suffered humiliation and pain due to their son's behavior and that family still lives in pain. My heart goes for that old mother who now takes care of her son who is now 37 years old and she is almost 75. My intention is not to make my readers heart go heavy after reading this, but I wanted to let you all know that the life we are all living now and carving for more is something which...

Global War(n)ming ...

Image
Guys, I think it is something which we educated folks should take it very seriously and we are absolutely ignorant and lethargic about the whole threatening issue of Global Warming. I saw a program in National Geographic two days back and it literally shook me and the facts and projections they are showing is very alarming and worrying. There is one GWC (Global Warming Consortium) which is sitting at the edge of Alaska and they are monitoring the rate at which those ICEY layers break and melt and if their projections are right, the entire world would be ice-less by 2115, I know none of us would be alive at that time, but let’s not give our next generation a bad planet to live, let’s all be very cautious in taking every step towards avoiding this catastrophic future that is staring at us and giving us an evil grin. Sheets and sheets of ice fossils are breaking every day and statistics say 3 cubic square meter of ice is melting in 1 hour every day, just imagine the rate guys ... What act...

Blindness ...

I am not an atheist but I do want to know why certain practices are followed without even knowing why we are doing that ? It is not that I got this bulb glowing on top of my head after doing my rig-upakarma, but I just thought of questioning myself on the fact that will I be a good senior Brahmin who has the credibility to educate or guide my next generation or will I too be sucked into this modernized world and just be an "arm-chair cribber" and keep finding faults on everyone and everything and keep boasting of my young age where I claim to have done so many things which I have not done or seen ? I fear that some of our good old cultures and traditions are seriously fading away in this electronic world, I am not against any inventions which would improve our lifestyle, but, all I am saying is, we should never forget our roots ... I was chanting a 6 page mantras given by my dad and I felt so bad that I could not pronounce many of the words properly even though I claim to hav...
